Adornments Jewellery and Production

by Nancy Lismer
Adornments Jewellery Design and Production was created by Nancy Lismer whose love for designing and creating jewellery began in 1991. Her studio is currently based in Toronto where she creates pieces that embody a whimsical, funky and elegant spirit. Adornments offers a unique variety of finely handcrafted pieces that add sparkle and magic to everyday wear (from jeans and tees to corporate suits) as well as eveningwear. The materials used include sterling silver, handmade glass beads (self), semi-precious stones, and other beads. Integrity of material is always top of mind, as is quality, design, and versatility. Each piece receives uncompromising attention to these details. Nancy graduated from George Brown in 1995 with a Goldsmithing diploma. anne-marie chagnon

by anne-marie chagnon

Anne-Marie Chagnon was born twice. The first time was when she came upon her mother's jewellery box as a little girl. The second was when she began creating her own jewellery and established her company in 1995. With a keen imagination, this fine arts graduate from the Université du Québec à Montréal is now easily recognized for her unique handmade collections that playfully push boundaries and showcase familiar materials in an all new way. Pewter, wood, resin and glass come alive in her hands, simultaneously revealing their primitive, sensual and joyous sides.

Caprice Akram

I have always been passionate about style and the fashion arts. Upon completing high school, I followed my passion and was accepted at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Fueled by desire and hard work, I graduated in 1994, winning the Carol Rapp design award for Jewelry design. Immediately, I started my own jewelry company to continue my creative designs and share them with the public. In 1996, I spent four months in Israel cutting diamonds to improve my knowledge of gemstones.

IRINA RAPAPORT

by Irina Rapaport
Irina designs her pieces using her own hand made collage and wire beads. For the collage beads, paper, gold and silver leaf are applied onto wooden beads or on ceramic beads that the artist makes herself. The curly wire beads are made from black, silver and colored copper wire, wrapped and then spun into balls. Irina is mixing the collage and wire beads with other textures and materials to create her one of a kind jewelry pieces. Her jewelry motifs revolve around themes of color, texture and juxtaposition of shades and hues of same tones. She creates a bold and graphic distinctive line of jewelry.
